So me and a couple of friends, co-creators and voice talents I hang out and game with have agreed to be a part of a new Obscured Cartoons project we will be able to easily implement for future content to keep consistent and active between animations. Obscured Cartoons will also be streaming and posting Let's Play videos on both Twitch and YouTube.
This will help us begin releasing new content on both platforms, keep a consistency going, reaching a different type of audience, add some of the new talent to the spotlight and it will also appeal to YouTube's broken algorithm. We can provide over thirty minutes of content because they want you to be a sell out who can pop in as many adds as possible while trying to help keep the channel on the map and make it easier for others to find our content.
YouTube isn't my main focus as it's a horrible platform for animators and content creators unless you're as 3AM click-bait channel targeting kids for views, a reaction channel doing very bare minim work and ripping off of other people's videos while adding very little to a video or some top ten channel who provides the same royalty free background music and showing off slide shows.
I've done a let's play channel before and it was a lot of in the beginning but quickly became too much work and lost it's charm when we starting involving other people into it who were wanting fame and fortune vs doing it for fun. It also hindered me from working on my craft but with the main focus being Cartoons and Animations and it being my own channel rather than a partnered channel with others dictating what direction to take, I think this will be a less stressful situation and could reunite me with doing some let's plays for fun.
